Happy Wednesday, or “Wedding Wednesday” actually since I’m here with more wedding fun! In honor of Galentine’s Day tomorrow, I thought I would share my favorite part about wedding planning! It may surprise a lot of people but I absolutely loved finding my bridesmaids’ dresses! It’s no surprise to any of you that I love fashion. I could not wait to find the perfect dresses for my girls. We got engaged in June 2018 and by September 2018 I was sending out the links for the each bridesmaid to purchase her dress. Although it was easy for me to pick the dresses, I used a few factors/considerations:

  • I discovered Fame and Partners about a year or two before we got engaged and always thought their dresses would make the perfect bridesmaids dresses. At the time they didn’t have a bridesmaid dress category but now they do! I purchased two dresses from them for our engagement shoot and had a great experience so I was able to feel comfortable having my bridesmaids use them.

  • I didn’t want the girls in the same style. I feel like using the same style of dress for each bridesmaid can do them a disservice. Each bridesmaid has their own personality, style and body type. For example, one dress may look on a someone with a small bust and not the best on someone with a large bust. Fame and Partners had a ton of options and you can make small customizations to each gown. You can make a slit shorter or move a neckline higher.

  • I did want each bridesmaid to wear the same color. I was really drawn to a matte silver satin fabric I saw on the site and thought they would look good on each bridesmaid. Luckily Fame and Partners had about 50 dresses that came in the fabric/color option I loved!

  • I wanted them to look cute! I know a lot of brides say this but I really wanted each bridesmaid to love and want to rewear their dresses. Being a bridesmaid in a wedding is ridiculously expensive. Between showers, bachelorettes and all the other expenses, I didn’t want my bridesmaids to spend money on a dress they hated or would only wear once!
