HELLO, I LIVE HERE: FAVE HOTELS IN THE TRIANGLE

As you know, Michael and I love to travel. We agreed that during our wedding planning, we would only travel locally or for short trips until the honeymoon. I’m glad we made that decision because it’s helped me spend more time exploring Raleigh and surrounding cities. I am a huge fan of a staycation. Since I work from home, I spend a lot of time at home. Being able to get away from home without a ton of traveling or packing is the best. I decided to share my favorite hotels in the Triangle. They are the perfect hotels for a staycation or if you are coming from out of town!

  1. THE DURHAM HOTEL: We snapped these photos at a recent staycation at The Durham. This hotel has been my favorite for a long time. I love the mid-century design and their lobby is the perfect place to work away from the house. Also, their cheese toast is BOMB!

  2. UNSCRIPTED HOTEL: Unscripted Hotel is one of our favorite summer hangouts. They have a rooftop pool where you can lay poolside or grab a table for lunch. The food is GOOD. I’m a sucker for lobster rolls and they have some good ones. They also recently added cabanas. You can rent a cabana and lounge by the pool with friends. They also have drag brunch every Sunday during the summer and a ton of other super cute events. I would highly recommend staying if you are visiting during the summer and don’t mind being close to the party!

  3. 21C MUSEUM HOTEL: We’ve stayed at the 21C many times. We love to explore the museum and the old bank vault downstairs. I visit 21C often for massages. Their restaurant, Counting House, has my favorite pancakes in all of the Triangle.

  4. THE UMSTEAD HOTEL AND SPA: Best hotel pool and spa in the Triangle. We are planning to get one of their spa packages right before the wedding to relax. The food at Heron’s cannot be beat. So delicious!

  5. FEARRINGTON VILLAGE INN: I recently visited Fearrington Village for the first time. Loved the property so much. Full of shops and dining, you can really escape from daily life here. Also, they have pretty adorable cows out there. I’m a sucker for animals. Their spa is top notch!

  6. GUEST HOUSE RALEIGH: Guest House Raleigh is super cool. The owners saved the historical house, located in downtown Raleigh, from demolition and renovated it. Now, it’s an 8 -room boutique hotel. This is a cute option for a girls’ weekend or staycation!

  7. RENAISSANCE RALEIGH NORTH HILLS: I’ll give you one reason to stay at this hotel: chocolate hot cheesecake (drool!)
