I've always loved vivid, bright colors. But when it comes to decorating my living space, I love using the color white. There's something appealing about the light and airy feeling of an all white room. All white bedding has been my go to for years. When I first moved into my apartment, I knew I wanted to use a lot of white. The first thing that came to mind was a white couch. White couches always brighten a room and look so clean. So recently, I purchased this couch:
As much as I like all white spaces, I knew I wanted to add some color. After some debating, I finally settled on two looks that I would love to live in. Oddly enough, one look is super feminine while the other has a more masculine feel to it.
Look 1: Girly
I haven't really been a fan of the color pink. When I was younger my bedroom had hot pink walls but it wasn't my choice. Lately I've been drawn to the color, especially when it's used in pillows and other decorations. Maybe I'm trying to hold on to my youth. I am going through a quarter life crisis after all.
Look 2: Manly
As girly as I may be, I love masculine spaces. I love dark colors, clean, angular lines, limited decorative excess, metal and wood finishes, as well as leather and a splash of rough texture. These spaces always seem to feel so warm and inviting.
I love everything about each one. I think I might use pieces from each look. Do you think the looks compliment each other or do they clash??? I guess we will see!
