Banana Republic chambray lightweight wool blazer (also love the vest version!), Banana Republic chambray lightweight wool cropped trousers (sold out, available in this fit), ASOS 'Paige' triple strap heels (old; similar here, love this color and this flat version), J.Crew tank (super old), DIY choker, OPI "Taupe-less Beach" polish

I am officially in "Fall" mode. I am usually one of those people who try to savor each season instead of complaining and wishing for the next season. It's been so hot here and it hasn't let up. I'm ready for crisp fall mornings and sweaters. I'm trying to savor the last bit of summer by the pool. I've also been trying to pick up transitional pieces from the summer sales. I found this Banana Republic suit during a huge sale at store. I purchased it for next to nothing and knew it would be perfect to wear now, pairing the blazer with a summer dress and the slacks with an off-the-shoulder blouse and sandals. When fall hits, I can layer the blazer over a lightweight turtleneck and can even continue the layering into winter. I get so excited when I find pieces that I can envision working into my wardrobe throughout the year. I wrote about transitional workwear pieces in my ebook about building your work wardrobe. Finding versatile pieces is the key to getting the most out of your closet!
